Thorn was shot on Sept 28, 2003 using a Canon GL-1 and a Flypod (pictured left). The Flypod is a great invention made by the Director of the movie, Wil Petty. It's used in Independent movies as a substitute for a steadicam and/or tripod. The Flypod is a camera stabilizer that allows for very steady shots and quick shooting without the need for elaborate setups or ridiculously expensive equipment.
